EzRAID RAID 1 enclosures and controllers provide an easy to install, easy to operate and consistently reliable alternative to software drive mirroring (which can be complicated, unreliable and sometimes downright scary.) What is RAID 1? RAID level 1, also called disk mirroring or drive mirroring, utilizes a second drive to provide real-time hard drive backup. In a RAID 1 array one drive is a redundant or mirror drive. When you mirror a hard drive, all saved data is written to both drives and the mirror drive remains an exact duplicate of the primary drive. Each EzRAID device

All EzRAID SATA RAID products are based on Data Protection Solutions by Arco's DupliDisk-4 (DD4) SATA drive mirror technology. Each controller installs easily and connects via three SATA cables, one to each drive and one to the SATA controller on the motherboard. EzRAID enclosures include two removable hot swap drive caddies.
Once the EzRAID device is installed, all data saves are sent to both drives simultaneously. So the drives remain identical. If one of the drives fails, an alarm sounds and the remaining drive seamlessly takes over all operations, keeping the system up and running. All products provide an audible failure alarm and optional remote monitoring capability. Some units provide front panel status information.
