The NoSlot is an OEM solution requiring its own unique bracket. It is perfect for adding IDE RAID 1 disk mirroring to custom designed PC systems where the lack of a free bus slot or external drive bay--or extreme space restrictions--would normally make it impossible to add hardware RAID 1 functionality. The Bay Mount unit requires no driver or IRQ. It sends data to both drives simultaneously so there's no lag time and no performance hit on your computer.
The uniquely simple design of the NoSlot allows it to mount directly to the computer chassis. Alternatively, the NoSlot may also be mounted in any standard hard drive mounting bracket and installed in a free internal drive bay. A favorite of our OEM customers, the NoSlot offers the opportunity for imaginative design possibilities.
Once it's installed, the DD3 NoSlot provides immediate real time backup! Every time you save data to your drive, the DD3 NoSlot will automatically send the information to both drives, so you always have an exact (and bootable, where applicable) duplicate of your drive and all the information it contains. If one of the drives fails, an alarm will sound to let you know a drive needs to be replaced but the other drive will take over your computer automatically and your business will stay up and running!
