The DD3 ISA IDE RAID 1 disk mirroring controller is an ideal IDE RAID solution for any computer system outfitted with one or more ISA slots. It can prove to be an extremely cost effective RAID mirroring solution, particularly for rackmount systems. The DD3 ISA is based on Data Protection Solutions by Arco's patented DupliDisk disk mirroring technology. It offers an ideal solution for industrial chassis and for mirroring IDE drives. The DD3 ISA is designed to use the ISA slot for power only; it is not affected by ISA throughput speeds. Also, because the DD3 ISA RAID controller handles all IDE RAID mirroring tasks onboard in hardware, disk mirroring makes no demands on computer system resources.

The DD3 ISA mounts easily into any standard ISA slot and mirrors two IDE drives. Simply drop the ISA board in place, connect your IDE (Parallel ATA) drives with the provided cables and run our quick and easy mirroring utility. When you're done, you'll have real time backup! Every time you save data to your drive, the DD3 ISA will automatically send the information to both drives, so you always have an exact (and bootable, where applicable) duplicate of your drive and all the information it contains. If one of the drives fails, an alarm will sound to let you know a drive needs to be replaced but the other drive will take over automatically. The DD3 ISA provides back panel status lights, serial port and alarm reset. The device uses the slot for power only and not for data transfer, it is not hampered by the normal speed limitations of ISA devices.
