Installation Instructions

Note: To perform a firmware upgrade, you will need to install our application on a different PC with Windows® O/S 

1. Download the file to your hard drive and unzip the file to any location. Remember the location that you unzipped it to.
2. Connect one side of the supplied Null Modem Cable to the back of the EzCopy's enclosure and connect the other side to     your computer's COM port.
3. IMPORTANT: Before running the application, use the Blue buttons adjacent to the LCD to scroll to “Bios Upgrade” prompt. Selecting “Select”     at the “Bios Upgrade” prompt will prompt you to “Turn EzCopy OFF/ON when Upgrade is done”. At this point, run the application.
4. On menu items go to Edit and choose Preferences. Check the box next to “Search My Serial Port”. Press next and exit   

    the program.
5.Start the EzRaid DD4 application. Right click on the EzCopy image and select Upgrade Firmware.Choose Local Disk. Browse to the location

    where the firmware upgrade was copied. Select the file named "EzCopy2_00_5_U.hex" and press open.
6. You will be prompted to click “OK” to upgrade the firmware. Once you have clicked “OK” then the application will proceed with the firmware

     upgrade. The firmware upgrade will then proceed through several stages, as indicated on the screen.
7. You will then get a message saying “Firmware Upgrade Completed Successfully” and you will be prompted to choose to shut down the

    system. Please select “NO”.
8. Exit the application.
9. In order for the upgrade to take effect, you will need to power down your EzCopy unit and start it up again.
8.You can now verify that the upgrade was successful by repeating step 3 and go to the General tab.

    The correct upgrade file will now read, "2.00.5".
